At a Glance — Key Policy Summary

Plain-Language Summary
SQLite Sandbox

Sandboxed Database

Your journal entries and mood ratings are saved strictly inside the application's isolated local SQLite sandbox directory.

Zero Network Transit

No In-Transit Vulnerabilities

Because personal entries are never transmitted over the network, your logs cannot be intercepted in transit.

Tamper-Evident Backups

SHA-256 Integrity Verification

Exported backup archives (.moodbackup) include cryptographically secure SHA-256 checksums to verify integrity.

Device Protection

Biometrics & OS Encryption

Hardware passcodes, biometric locks, and OS-level file-based encryption protect your SQLite database from unauthorized physical access.

01

1. Local SQLite Database Architecture

Unlike traditional applications that synchronize sensitive mental health records to remote cloud servers, Mood Tracker stores 100% of your diary entries, mood logs, and personal statistics locally on your device using a secure, isolated SQLite database file.

We do not own, rent, or operate cloud servers to store your personal data. Because the data never leaves your device, it cannot be intercepted in transit over the internet, nor can it be accessed by our employees or third parties through a server breach.

02

2. Securing Your Mobile Device

Because your data lives exclusively on your phone or tablet, data security relies directly on the security of your physical device. We strongly recommend the following best practices:

  • Screen Lock: Enable a strong passcode, PIN, Face ID, or fingerprint authentication on your device.
  • OS Updates: Keep your mobile operating system (Android or iOS) updated with the latest security patches.
  • Official App Updates: Keep Mood Tracker & Daily Journal updated through the official Google Play Store.
03

3. Tamper-Evident Backup Architecture

When you generate an export archive (.moodbackup) to migrate or archive your reflections, the application bundles your data into an integrity-verified JSON envelope paired with a cryptographically secure SHA-256 checksum.

Upon restoration, the app re-computes the SHA-256 hash before executing any SQLite operations. If any unauthorized byte alteration or file corruption has occurred, the restore operation immediately aborts, safeguarding your local SQLite database against corrupted state injection.

04

4. Third-Party Sandboxing (Google AdMob & RevenueCat)

Mood Tracker & Daily Journal utilizes Google AdMob to deliver advertisements and RevenueCat to verify Google Play in-app purchase receipts. Both SDKs operate under strict isolation protocols:

  • Google AdMob: Processes standard advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID) solely for ad serving. AdMob has zero programmatic access to your journal entries, mood scores, or reflections.
  • RevenueCat: Processes anonymous app user IDs and Google Play purchase tokens solely to unlock Pro subscription tiers. RevenueCat never accesses or stores your personal journal entries or emotional logs.
05

5. Operating System Backups & Data Responsibility

Because Pynath Technologies does not operate remote cloud storage, if you uninstall the application, your local database will be permanently wiped by the Android operating system. We advise users to routinely utilize the built-in export feature to create manual backups.
